The NFT project Doodles took to X to announce their latest venture: an animated film featuring international pop stars and music icons Pharrell Williams, Lil Wayne, and Coi Leray.
The film, titled ‘Dullsville and the Doodleverse,’ is still in production but has been described as a groundbreaking animation and music experience. Notably, there will be a significant emphasis on the audio element of the film, exciting audiophile-inclined Doodle enthusiasts.
For regular Doodle enthusiasts, the film will feature the OG characters of the project and adhere to the iconic style of the Doodle world. Interestingly, the film is being developed in-house rather than by an external production team. The CEO of the Doodle project, Julian, explained on X that while they had ‘offers on the table,’ they were concerned about their creative control being undermined and logistical issues like developmental timelines.
With the determination to run this project in-house, Doodle acquired the award-winning studio Golden Wolf, which has created campaigns for Google, Coca-Cola, and Nickelodeon. Now armed with the best-in-class studio, the project got underway, and nearly a year later, we’re witnessing one of the most significant advances toward a mainstream web3 media franchise.
In the words of Doodles, ‘to the Doodleverse… and beyond.’ Will you be tuning in?”
